Blue Demons Juvenile Boys had a very busy and successful few days over the past weekend.
Our U12’s kicked off on Saturday morning against Limerick Celtics in the U12 championship first round. Stephen O’Leary’s U12’s were slow to start and trailed 8-2 at the end of the first quarter. They came out all guns blazing in the 2nd quarter to lead 18-13 at half time with some good scoring from Jack O’Leary and Mathew McCarthy. It continued to be a tight affair in the 3rd quarter (29-22) but Demons upped the tempo in the final quarter to run out winners on a scoreline of 44-26.
Our U14’s were next up in the U14 championship against Limerick Celtics and lead from the start with some good fast break basketball and ran out winners on a scoreline of 46-37.
We hosted 4 home league games in the Parochial Hall on Sunday morning. Our U13’s beat Limerick Lakers on a scoreline of 29:21 and were well in control throughout with a real team effort.
Our U16’s were next up against Limerick Lakers and started on fire to lead 25-7 at half time with defense being a priority. Demons continued to keep the intensity up to run out convincing winners Demons 49 Limerick Lakers 16.
Our U10’s played Neptune and put in a disciplined and very good performance with good passing being key to their game.
Our U11’s coached by Jim O’Sullivan also entertained Neptune and it was really a team effort with every player contributing with some excellent finishing on the fast break.

Brian Horgan’s U10’s finished off their weekend with a half time exhibition on Sunday afternoon at the UCC Demons-Limerick super league game in the Mardyke Arena where they showcased their talents. Well done lads!
