Juvenile Review – U16A’s force league playoff

It was another busy weekend for our juvenile boys teams. Our U16A team coached by David Lehane and Dermot Looney had a great victory tonight(29-Feb) down in Neptune as their win will now force a league playoff for league trophy in the coming weeks. Our lads were 12 down at one point but battled hard down the stretch and closed out for a well deserved victory on a scoreline of 66-62. Well done lads!

We had 3 teams in action on Friday night with our U12’s, U16’s & U18’s all victorious in games against Limerick Lions.

Our U17’s coached by the trio of Shane Coughlan, Brian Foley and Conor Deasy traveled to Tralee on Saturday for the Michael Hobbert tournament but were beaten in the semi finals by a point but it was a good run out in prep for the Billy Kelly.

Our U14’s coached by Darren O’Leary played Limerick Lakers on Sunday morning(28-Feb) in the Parochial Hall and our lads continued their winning run with a high scoring return to win on a scoreline of 73-35.

Congratulations to Demons U18 players Dylan Brickley, Jack Lynch and Alan O’Leary who were on the Colaiste Choilm U19A schools team who won the All Ireland last Wednesday(24-Feb) in the National Basketball Arena. Dylan Brickley was captain and also hit the winning free throw to clinch the title, well done lads!

On Wednesday night (2-Mar), our U13’s travel to Mallow in a league decider and our U18’s host Neptune in the Parochial Hall.

Our U12’s travel to Limerick next Saturday and our U13’s are on the road again and travel to Youghal.
