Blue Demons juvenile boys had another very busy week of action, Our U18’s played their National Cup Shield semi final in the Parochial Hall today(13-Mar) against Ballincollig.  Ballincollig started the brighter and lead 15-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. Our scoring power improved in the second quarter to only be down 1 point at half time(32-31) after some good hustle and fast breaks. Our lads were missing some key individuals due to injury and travel. Demons pushed the tempo in the 3rd quarter and lead 48-45 as both teams battled hard. Demons again pushed it in the 4th but ran out of steam down the stretch as Ballincollig ran out winners on a scoreline of 65-62 in what was a very entertaining game as we couldn’t hit the last shot to tie the game. Well done to our lads as they have had some very good performances in this competition but it just wasn’t to be today but I am sure they have gained some very good experience.

Our U14’s traveled to Tralee on Saturday(12-Mar) for the Jimmy Curran tournament, our lads were again missing some lads due to injury and school entrance exams but they played in very tight games but were unsuccessful in getting out of their pool.

We had 2 teams in action in Ballincollig this morning(13-Mar) with our U11’s and U12’s in action. Our U12’s had a major scare as it took overtime for our lads to win. We hope this will be good prep our lads in next weekend’s CCB U12 tournament on the 19th March.

Our U16’s made the trek to Skibereen this morning but their recent winning run was ended as they lost by 13 points. Keith Thompson’s  U16 B’s are back in action on Tuesday night(15-Mar) when they will play Bantry in the Parochial Hall @ 7.15pm.

Our U13’s are in action on Wednesday night as we host Carraig na bhFear @ 7pm.
