Blue Demons U12’s coached by Jim O’Sullivan and Brian Horgan were victorious tonight (22-Jan) in the final of the Cork Championship. This was our lads first competitive trophy and it was a very good performance from all the team and one they can be very proud of.

Demons started slowly but lead 10-6 after the first quarter. Demons continued to pick up the pace in the 2nd quarter with a couple of lovely jump shots from Darly Cuffe as Demons lead 18-10 at half time.

Our lads really picked it up in the 3rd quarter with some very good fast break basketball as they began to stretch their legs and were leading 35-14 end of the 3rd quarter.

The 4th quarter was a bit tense but Demons continued their scoring rate and ran out winners on a scoreline of 45-26 as they celebrated together at the final whistle.

Congratulations on a very good team performance and thanks to everybody who came out to support the team. Hopefully this will be the first of many trophies for this talented group.

Next up are our U13’s next Tuesday night(26-Jan) at 6:15pm in the championship final in what will surely be a good battle against Fr Mathews.
