Blue Demons U12’s coached by Stephen O’Leary were victorious today in the Cork County Board U12 Tournament. Demons started with a good pool victory over Fr Mathews. This was followed by victories over Titans of Galway and finished top of their pool by defeating Carraig na bhFear.

Demons played Neptune in the semi final and were 16-9 up at half time and continued to improve in the second half to win by a margin of 13 points.

We then faced a strong and competitive Mallow team in the final watched by the large attendance from both clubs. Demons lead 10-7 at the end of the first quarter after a tense opening period where defenses were on top. Demons upped the intensity both offensively and defensively in the second quarter and lead 25-9 at half time after restricting Mallow to 2 points in the full quarter. Demons continued to share the ball and find the open man in the 3rd and 4th quarters to run winners on a scoreline of 42-20 in what was truly a full team effort with everybody contributing to this success. Colin Hannigan as captain graciously collected the trophy from Mr. John Coughlan and let the celebrations begin. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks also today to all the juvenile boys members who helped out in our bag packing fundraising efforts today from 12pm to 7pm! Thank You!
