Blue Demons U12 boys were victorious tonight in the CCB U12A Championship final against Fr Mathews. Our U12’s coached by Stephen O’Leary and Cathal O’Flaherty started well and played very tough defense to lead 21-8 at half time. Demons really opened up in the second half with a great exhibition of fast break basketball to lead 41-18 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Demons continued to push the pace with some very good passing and movement to run out winners on a scoreline of 47-24. This victory was a real team effort with everybody contributing and it was great to see the joy in their faces at the final whistle. Congrats lads!

Our U16’s played a very highly fancied Neptune team in the U16A championship final but credit to our lads who made a huge effort and were leading well into the third quarter. Our lads started very well and hustled hard and it was all square at the end of the 1st quarter(14-14) with some good scores from Blake Murphy, Jack Lynch and Alex Foley.
Demons upped the intensity in the 2nd quarter to lead 25-23 at half time after great hustle from James Beckom, EJ Doe and Ethan Hurley.
Demons started the 3rd quarter well but missed opportunities in this quarter cost them dearly to trail 43-32 as scores were hard to come by.
Our U16’s coached Conor Deasy and Dave Beckom continued to compete hard in the 4th quarter despite getting tired to lose out on a scoreline of 66-47 but our lads can be really proud of their efforts as they gave their all in this final.
Thanks to all who turned up to support both our teams tonight, both teams & coaches really appreciate the support.
