Blue Demons U12 boys coached by Jim O’Sullivan and Brian Horgan started their first competitive season in style with victory in the Limerick Celtics pre-season tournament on Sunday. They had some tough games over the course of the day against Celtics & Kestrels in their pool. Demons played Killester in the semi final and played the hosting club Limerick Celtics in the final and ran out winners after a tough battle. Congrats lads!
Our U15’s coached by David Lehane, Dermot Looney and Conor Deasy put in a huge effort over 2 days in the Mick James memorial tournament to reach the final of the tournament undefeated despite being without some key players over the weekend. Our lads played a Northern Ireland selection team in the final and despite a poor start kept the scoreline to 21-30 in the first half. Demons pushed hard in the 3rd quarter to reduce the deficit to 5 points(33-38) and got it close in the 4th quarter but lost out on a scoreline of 39-49. Everybody should be very proud of their efforts over the 2 days and should give them confidence for the John Coughlan tournament next January. Well done lads!
