Our U12 Boys coached by Jim O’Sullivan and Brian Horgan have reached the U12 championship final after an epic semi final battle against Ballincollig on Saturday in the Parochial Hall. It was a tight affair throughout with scores level at 8-8 at the end of the 1st quarter.  Ballincollig upped the tempo to lead 18-14 at half time. Our lads played some great defense in the 3rd quarter to hold Ballincollig to 2 points and Demons had a 2 point lead(20-18) after a lot of missed opportunities.  Ballincollig started stronger in the 4th quarter and lead by 4 points at one stage but Jim and Brian’s lads pulled it out of the hat and won down the stretch on a scoreline of 28-25. The lads will now knuckle down in training for the Championship final in January.

Our U16’s put up a much better performance on Friday night against Neptune in a re-run of the U16 tournament final from the previous weekend. Demons pushed hard all the way but lost by 15 points but it was a much closer game than the previous weekend.

We had 2 games in the Parochial Hall on Sunday morning (13-December).  Our U12’s were again playing Ballincollig but put up a much better performance and scoring to win on a scoreline of 41 points to 17. Well done lads for upping it from yesterday.

Our U14’s coached by Darren O’Leary played Limerick Celtics and started in fire to lead 24-8 at the end of the first after some good fast break basketball. Limerick closed the gap in the second quarter (36-22) . Demons continued to lead 49-36 end of the 3rd quarter. Limerick narrowed the gap in the 4th quarter but Demons ran out winners on a scoreline of 56-48 after a good scoring performance. Next up for the U14’s is the championship semi final next Friday night(18-Dec) @ 7:30pm.

Our U13’s are also in championship semi final action this Tuesday night(15-Dec) @ 6:30pm in the Parochial Hall against Ballincollig in what will be a very tough game. All support welcome for Brian and Tony Foley’s troops.
