U16A Boys win CCB Championship

Congratulations to our U16A team tonight who won the CCB U16A Championship after a solid performance in the Parochial Hall against Limerick Lions. The game started slowly with Demons holding a slight lead (10-9) at the end of the 1st quarter. Coached by David Lehane and D Looney, our lads picked up the pace scoring wise in the 2nd quarter to lead 29-17 at half time. Demons continued to play solid defense and kept scoring tempo going to extend their lead to 41-22. Our lads kept the pressure up in the 4th quarter to win the championship on a scoreline of 63-41 with Sean Murphy picking up the trophy as team captain.

On a special note, Vernon Scully also made a welcome return to the court last night playing in the final last night after a tough 12 months out with injury, well done Vernon and welcome back!

Congrats to coaches and players on another trophy for this talented group.

Next up are our U12’s this coming Friday night as play Limerick Celtics in the U12A championship final.
