It will be a busy week ahead for our juvenile teams with 3 teams playing in the CCB Championship finals. First up this Tuesday night(18th) @ 6:15pm are our U18’s who are playing Fr Mathews. Our lads were very unlucky in the national cup quarter finals after putting up a great fight to lose narrowly. Dave Lehane’s and Dee Looney’s lads will be looking to add some silverware to the cabinet.
On Thursday night (20th @ 6:15pm), our U14’s will be in action against a talented Limerick Celtics team. This should be a good battle and Troy and Carlton have been preparing hard for this after a hard fought victory over Ballincollig in the semi finals.
Finally, on Saturday morning @ 11:15am, our U12’s will be action against Neptune in the U12 final. Darren and Stuart’s troops had a hard fought win(42-24) over Fr. Mathews on Saturday to make the final. The U12 final should be a very good game with 2 evenly matched teams.
Our U16A team were very unlucky on Saturday after losing out to Fr Mathews in a hard fought affair. Demons started well and lead 15-9 at the end of the 1st and 29-18 at half time. Our lads fought hard in the 2nd half but ran out of scores to trail 39-40 at the end of the 3rd and fought hard in the 4th but couldn’t get any scoring momentum to lose 46-54 after a tough battle.
Best of luck to all our teams this week as they look to close out 2018 with some silverware.
