Opening game of the Superleague season see our Superleague team UCC Demons take on Tralee Warriors winners of last season Champions Trophy. Colin O Reilly will take charge of his 1st game back after a year spent in the UK coaching. Its a new look UCC Demons side this year & we also welcome back Jack O Mahony after a year on the side-lines after operations on his ankles. Ahead of the game Colin & Adrian O’Sullivan gave their thoughts below.

Colin O Reilly

“We are under no illusions as to how difficult it is going to be for us to get back up amongst the top teams in the League,” O’Reilly stated. “Playing our first game at home against one of the League favourites is a tough task, but is one we will have to embrace as a group and see if we can put in a performance that puts us in a position to steal the game in the fourth.”

Adrian O Sullivan

“It’s always nice to be able to start the season off with a home game and we’re excited to get the season underway. Having said that, Tralee have added more to their Champions Trophy winning team last year, so a tough task lies ahead. It’s important that we start our campaign in with winning ways and, despite losing some key players from last year, Colin has put us through our paces the last number of weeks and preparation has been going well.

“There have been some big moves around the country,” he continued, “And with a club like Maree coming into the League, I think it’s set up to be an exciting year and I can’t wait to get going.”

A big crowd is expected for this Munster local derby game so early arrival is advised.

Admission fee for the game is €7 Adults / €4 Kids (U16) / €18 Family Ticket (2A+2K)

Season Ticket will also be available on the door €50 Single & €90 Family
