This one loss does not make us a bad team.
It is never good to lose a game but at the end of the day we still control our own destiny. We put ourselves in a great position to win the game Saturday but handed Neptune a foothold in the game at the wrong stage. All the small details added up and led to them dominating the fourth quarter. We lost the foul count 23-9, shot only 7 free throws, shot our lowest percentage of the season and our defense broke down in the fourth after it had been excellent until then.
For us it is a case of learning from the game and moving on. This lose will only count against us if we don’t learn from it. We have enough character, talent and belief in ourselves to get back up off the floor and continue fighting for the rest of the season. 12 wins in a row and a cup didn’t make us a great team while this one loss does not make us a bad team. If anything this loss may bring back that extra hunger and urgency in our play that got us this far. So we look forward to getting back training and improving for the rest of the season.
