We have yet to put together a complete performance.
On a night where legends of the past were celebrated and former club members remembered it was appropriate that we went out and took care of business and beat Neptune. As derby victories go I don’t feel anyone will complain about a 24 point win where we were comfortable from half time on. We trusted our fitness and tried to make Neptune play at a faster pace than their used to. We wore them out and put in a superb 3rd quarter.
Having said that we were sloppy at times and gave up to many easy baskets. While I know it’s hard to stay fully concentrated during a blow out, it is important that we do not turn the ball over regardless of the time and situation in the game. We have yet to put together a complete performance so we will continue to work hard and progress forward with the process. The pleasing thing about our team is individuals are improving every week and bringing the type of energy and attitude to training that’s needed to help us improve.
