Head Coach Colin O Reilly
Last Saturday we had a good win against Moycullen in front of an energetic home crowd. We started the game well offensively but it was our defence in the final 3 quarters which led to the victory. Holding Moycullen to 42 points over the 3 quarters is something we are very happy about and has given us something to build on this week as well. We played 9 players significant minutes throughout with all 9 getting on the score sheet being another positive. We had a lot of firsts throughout the game. Conor and Dave started their first Super League games, Goran and Blake made their debuts while Kyle was first in scoring for us after making the trip last minute for the second half following a tough championship game with Delaney’s.
Sunday we take on another Galway team in Maree. Much like ourselves they have a changed roster and are looking to build chemistry. For us the focus has been entirely on ourselves the past week. We have spent a lot of time scrimmaging to allow players gain familiarity which each others styles and grow cohesion as a unit. We are still a work in progress but with every session we are seeing improvements which we will look to bring to the floor Sunday.
