We are still going to play our style of basketball.
Sundays league clash with Killester is being built up as the biggest regular season game in the past 10 years. Both sides enter it with one loss and know a win will go a long way to securing the league title. Without trying to downplay the significance of the game to much, the point I will be trying to get across to the players is that its just a game of basketball like the many we have played already this season. The court is the same length, the baskets same height, basketballs same shape and the game will last 40 minutes. The only difference is that we are taking on an opposition that matches up very well with us and have been in great form themselves throughout the year. We have played Killester twice this season and been fortunate to come out on top. There is so little between the teams that its hard to see where the game will be won. We need to limit our mistakes throughout and do the simple things well. That being said we are still going to play our style of basketball and force the issue Sunday as best we can. With it being a home game we will be hoping for a quick start to get the fans behind us and make the Mardyke as noisy as possible to make it uncomfortable for Killester. As a team we are looking forward to the challenge and have prepared as best as possible which will hopefully lead to an enjoyable Sunday.
