To win on the road against Star is never easy and Sunday proved the same again. We dug ourselves a hole in the first quarter but from there on put in a very disciplined and tough performance. We held them to 50 points over the final 30 minutes and got our offense clicking at the right times. It was one of those games where nobody was spectacular but everybody made huge contributions at the right time. Adrian made 3 huge shots that really gave us confidence and energy which led to our best defensive half of the season. The point guards hounded their main threat, the bigs bullied their match ups and wings locked in on stars shooters who had been on fire in the first quarter. From then on everybody upped their intensity and showed great character in pulling out the victory. With such a new team these are games that can slip away from you but we showed great poise and a win at all costs attitude down the stretch which is a great credit to the players. We know we are a work in progress and the great thing about the squad is everyone is sacrificing individual glory for the good of the team.
