Congratulations to our U12A Boys team who won the CCB Championship on Friday night in the Parochial Hall after an excellent team performance against a very strong Limerick Celtics team. Our lads started well to lead 12-6 at the end of the first quarter. The 2nd quarter saw a very good standard of outside shooting from both teams with Demons holding a narrow lead 20-16 at the break.

The 3rd quarter saw the game get even closer with both teams continuing to hit baskets from the outside with good on the ball screens also being a feature but Limerick narrowed the lead to just 2 points, Demons 30-28 ahead at the end of the quarter.

Coached by Troy O’Mahony and Brian Horgan, our lads really looked inspired in the 4th quarter as they came out all guns blazing on both ends with very tough defense and getting to the basket and hustling on the boards as they took over the game to run out winners on a scoreline of 44-31, with the key being defense and holding Celtics to 1 point in the final quarter.

Congrats to all involved and thanks to everybody who came out to support our team in what was a very good advertisement for juvenile basketball with both teams giving it their all.

Next up on Tuesday night(24th Jan) in the Championship Finals are our U14A & U16B teams. All support appreciated!
