It’s great to see the Billy Kelly Memorial Tournament return this coming weekend. This is easily the best weekend of juvenile basketball in Ireland with 3 venues being used on Friday with 30 teams competing for the title. Our U17s coached by David Murphy & Carleton Cuff have prepared hard over the last few weeks. Friday will be a busy day with 4 pool games scheduled. Games begin @ 9am on Friday with our first game against Ongar Chasers. 11am will see us compete against Waterford Vikings followed by a 1pm tip off against Phoenix BC from Belfast. Our final pool game is against Labanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On another note, congrats to Daryl Cuff (U17) who has been drafted into the Irish U18 squad and made his debut yesterday against Wales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All going well on Friday, the tournament will move to the quarter finals on Saturday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also on Saturday before the final, late Chairman Billy Coffey will be inducted into the Cork County Basketball Board Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
