Congratulations to Blue Demons Boys U14A team who clinched the league title after a tense battle with Ballincollig on Friday March 20th in a playoff. Ballincollig started the stronger and were leading 11-8 after the first quarter. The game continued to be tense in the second quarter and despite lots of Demons opportunities Ballincollig continued to lead 17-14 at half time.
\nDave Lehane and Dermot Looney’s troops pulled it together in the 3rd quarter and upped the intensity offensively and moved the ball much better to lead 27-26 at the end of the quarter.
\nDemons continued to push the pace in the last quarter and with great efforts from Cian Looney, David Lehane and Sean Murphy, Demons ran out winners on a scoreline of 47-37.
\nCongratulations to the 15 players on the team as everybody has contributed throughout this long league campaign that started back in October.<\/p>\n
Our U14 team will now start preparation for the AICC U14 tournament after Easter and the Cork Top 4 championship. <\/p>\n
