Blue Demons U12’s coached by Jim O’Sullivan and Brian Horgan were victorious tonight (22-Jan) in the final of the Cork Championship. This was our lads first competitive trophy and it was a very good performance from all the team and one they can be very proud of.<\/p>\n
Demons started slowly but lead 10-6 after the first quarter. Demons continued to pick up the pace in the 2nd quarter with a couple of lovely jump shots from Darly Cuffe as Demons lead 18-10 at half time.<\/p>\n
Our lads really picked it up in the 3rd quarter with some very good fast break basketball as they began to stretch their legs and were leading 35-14 end of the 3rd quarter.<\/p>\n
The 4th quarter was a bit tense but Demons continued their scoring rate and ran out winners on a scoreline of 45-26 as they celebrated together at the final whistle.<\/p>\n
Congratulations on a very good team performance and thanks to everybody who came out to support the team. Hopefully this will be the first of many trophies for this talented group.<\/p>\n
Next up are our U13’s next Tuesday night(26-Jan) at 6:15pm in the championship final in what will surely be a good battle against Fr Mathews.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
