The continued presence and status\u00a0of Blue Demons<\/a> Basketball Club as one of the premier clubs in the country has been secured following the announcement of a major new sponsorship deal with\u00a0Gurranabraher Credit Union.<\/h2>\n

Gurranabraher Credit Union<\/a> is the largest credit union on the northside of Cork with over 93 million euros in assets and they are extremely proud to announce their sponsorship of the UCC Demons Super League team and the Blue Demons Youth Academy.<\/p>\n

Basketball is an integral part of Cork\u2019s sporting history and Gurranabraher Credit Union recognise the importance of basketball to its members and the local community.<\/p>\n

When considering this sponsorship, Gurranabraher Credit Union were extremely impressed with Blue Demons\u2019 primary focus of developing young children,\u00a0through the sport of basketball.<\/p>\n

\u201cGurranabraher Credit Union is delighted to be sponsoring the UCC Demons Super League team, as well as the Youth Academy,\u201d\u00a0Michael O Connell, Chair of Gurranabraher Credit Union said while speaking at the launch in the Mardyke Arena.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a long tradition of promoting and supporting basketball in our community since our foundation in 1963.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBasketball is a pillar of the sporting tradition on the\u00a0northside\u00a0and we hope our new partnership with the UCC Demons Super League team and Blue Demons Youth Academy will help further to promote the game.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis focus fits perfectly with Gurranabraher Credit Unions mission of reaching out to young people on the importance of financial responsibility.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to wish all the teams the very best in their upcoming games\u00a0in the coming months\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Jim Dineen, Blue Demons chairperson, is thrilled his club have become a partner with Gurranabraher Credit Union and believes the association can only benefit both parties.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe youth academy is the heartbeat of our club and our partnership with Gurranabraher Credit Union will assist Blue Demons greatly in the development of young basketball players and the continuing success of the UCC Demons Super League team in the future,\u201d<\/em> Jim Dineen said.<\/p>\n

UCC Demons Super League team have an important game on January 29th<\/sup>\u00a0against Templeogue at the Mardyke Arena 3pm.<\/p>\n

Gurranabraher Credit Union will be planning events and competitions and events in the week leading up to the game.<\/p>\n
