Blue Demons U14 & U16B juvenile boys teams both qualified for the CCB Championship finals after victories in their corresponding semi finals on Tuesday night in the Parochial Hall.<\/p>\n
Our U14’s lead from start to finish against a strong Ballincollig team. Our lads lead 22-18 at half time after a tough opening half. In the 3rd quarter, Brian & Tony Foley’s troops came out all guns blazing to really push the pace with some great defense holding Ballincollig to 2 points in the quarter to extend their lead to 38-20. Our lads continued to push the pace in the final quarter to run out winners on a scoreline of 50-30. Well done lads!<\/p>\n
Our U16B’s coached by Patrick Hession were next up on Tuesday night against Carrigaline. The game was slow to get started but our lads lead from the off to lead 8-5 at the end of the first quarter. Demons scoring increased in the 2nd quarter as the game opened up with our lads hitting some three’s to lead 25-12 at half time. In the 3rd quarter, defenses were on top but our lads were still able to maintain a healthy lead of 31-29.\u00a0 Our U16B’s continued to lead from the front in the 4th quarter to run our winners on a scoreline of 44-30.<\/p>\n
Our U12 & U16A teams have also qualified for the CCB finals and our U18A team compete in the semi final next Tuesday night (10th Jan).<\/p>\n
